Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Meridian, Idaho
Mary Walters grew up in Montana and attended Montana State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Over the last 27 years, she has cared for children and their families in a variety of roles within the pediatric hospital setting. To fulfill her initial career goal of becoming a nurse practitioner, she obtained her master’s and pediatric nurse practitioner degree from the University of South Alabama. Over the last year, Mary has worked with medically complex children and their families as a nurse practitioner in pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation and the multidisciplinary clinics of spina bifida and muscular dystrophy.
Mary loves caring for children of all ages and their families. Her passion has always been with children and she is excited to continue her career in pediatric primary care. She is looking forward to educating and establishing lifelong relationships with her patients and their families as they make the journey from infancy to adulthood. Watching children grow while overcoming many health care obstacles has been one of the highlights of her career.
Mary and her husband live in Meridian and have three grown children with their youngest attending college. In her free time she enjoys baking and decorating cakes, spending time in the outdoors, and spending time with family.
